Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs provide community based child advocacy services for children who have become wards of the juvenile court due to abuse within their families
Through the use of citizen volunteers, CASAs advocate within the court and child welfare systems to keep judges, caseworkers, and attorneys focused on the best interests of the children they serve. CASA programs recruit, train and supervise volunteers through the maze of judicial and social work practice. Each CASA volunteer is assigned to one family's case, making sure the children gain access to support and services that they need to become stable and healthy members of our communities
